Our Platform

• Listen to the People.  If two-thirds of Americans favor a policy, there's probably something to it. Government should implement the popular will, unless there is some compelling reason not to. 

• Protect Elective Pregnancy.  Two-thirds of Americans favor federal protection of abortion rights. Rather than exposing these rights to the shifting politics of the Supreme Court, we support a constitutional amendment guaranteeing the right to terminate pregnancy in the first trimester, leaving states leeway to expand abortion rights beyond that baseline.

• Restore Law and Order.  Letting criminals prey on the innocent is not a form of social justice. Why pass gun-control laws, and then prevent cops from seizing guns? Elected officials must revive the policing tactics that reduced crime and saved lives in the 1990s.

• Balance the Budget.  When Washington spends more than it has, the result is inflation, hurting the poorest Americans most. Let's revive the fiscal responsibility of Eisenhower and Clinton years.

• Privatize Where Possible.  Government is better at funding services than providing them. Where government funds services such as medical care and education, it should defer to the private sector to provide those services.
